I write and teach for a living, though not fiction, and have had a book and many articles published. I am always interested in helping people get better at writing. It's hard to do it well, and more power to you if you want to get better. Since I'm a GWM I have a special interest in editing stories with LGBT themes, but have edited and commented on straight fiction as well. Looking forward to reading your writing. It is helpful to let me know the word count of your story when you contact me. I do not deal with stories that depict violence, humiliation, or other abuse against women, even if a character supposedly consents to such treatment. UPDATE, November 2021: I am in a crazy time at my day job. Please be patient if the turnaround time seems slow. Better yet, tell me when you make contact when you’d like the finished result, so I can give you a realistic idea of whether I can get it done or not. Also, a gentle request: when I do return an edit to you, please let me know that you received it. I do put in a lot of time and effort when I do this, and it’s purely for love of writing. It’s a bit disconcerting to be met with silence afterward. Thank you!
